The Open Madrasah Network is an innovative pilot developed by ATL working in partnership with local Madaaris (Islamic supplementary schools) and Education Bradford to address low educational attainment and employment within the Pakistani and Bangladeshi communities, two of the most excluded and disadvantaged groups in the Bradford District.

GCSE Booster Classes

OMN Runs GCSE Booster Classes March 2009

Each of the 4 Madaaris ran booster classes in core subject of Maths, English and Science for children from year 10 and 11. This was the first activity carried out by the OMN largely in cooperation and support from schools in the area. Classes were mainly held on weekends to help borderline students obtain 5 GCSEs (A-C).
