The Project

The Project should result in reducing the skills and qualifications deficit in the target communities and increase the number of people entering the Labour market with better qualifications. It will also result in key working relationships established between mainstream schools, public service agencies and madaaris. It will lead to the introduction of quality standards and help participating madaaris raise their capacity as third sector delivery agents.

What Will It Do?

Educational Attainment

Working with Education Bradford to deliver numeracy and literacy booster classes to young children at Key stage II and III as well GCSE booster classes for year 10 & 11. We will also run GCSEs to allow children to acquire additional subjects

Adult Learning

Supported by Bradford College, we will provide a large range of pre-employment learning and ESOL provision in each madrasah according to identified need / demand, particularly focusing on young people and women.

Access To Employment

In partnership with Job Centre Plus and Jobs@, we will provide job workshops on a variety of themes targeting women and young people and the long term unemployed.

Capacity Building of Madaaris

The Madrasah Network will take its associated madaaris through the National Resource Centre Quality Framework as part of our commitment to raising standards of teaching and management within supplementary schools. We are also committed to helping madaaris with CRB checks, mentors for the Quality Framework and other advice and guidance on following our model of engagement with the Public Sector.
